Fantastic Beasts 3, 4 and 5 release date, cast, plot , you need to know

The Fantastic Beasts franchise has been beset by many bad luck — a number of its own making and a few beyond its control. All of this has meant that the journey to the third Fantastic Beasts film has been bumpy, to mention the smallest amount .

Fantastic Beasts 3, along side many other movies meant to be filming in 2020, was hit with production delays, but that wasn’t the foremost dramatic news to hit. That mantle goes to the news that Grindelwald actor Johnny Depp would depart the series.

The third film was originally meant to debut in cinemas in November 2020 (yep!) but even before These Unprecedented Times™ it had been delayed to 2021, before being delayed again.

That we’re getting a 3rd movie in the least is that the stuff of magic. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald met with poor reviews and garnered the worst box office results of the whole Wizarding World Series . This was likely not what Warner Bros had in mind when it planned a five-movie series for wonderful Beasts… so will we find yourself getting all five films?

So far it seems that yes, we’ll still be subjected to urge an extra three films. But before we get before ourselves, here’s everything you would like to understand about Fantastic Beasts 3.

Fantastic Beasts 3, 4 and 5 cast: Who’s coming back for Fantastic Beasts 3?

Let’s get the large news out of the way, Johnny Depp won’t be reprising his role as Grindelwald within the remaining Fantastic Beasts movies. He was asked to resign from the role by Warner Bros.

The role of Grindelwald will now be played by Doctor Strange and Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen. it isn’t yet clear how the recast are going to be handled within the movie, but given the planet of Harry Potter, it could easily be put right down to a potion, accident or magical disguise.

Depp had shot one scene as Grindelwald for the third movie, but again, we do not know if this may find yourself within the movie or not.

While we will assume that the majority of those stars are going to be back in future movies after the third movie (due to Harry Potter canon), not everyone’s fate is understood so there’s the potential for more shock deaths.

This doesn’t completely rule out us seeing Leta again within the series, but it might (probably) need to take the shape of a flashback.

Eddie Redmayne are going to be back as Newt Scamander and he’ll be joined by the likes of Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Jude Law (Albus Dumbledore), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) and Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein).

Ezra Miller is additionally set to return as Credence Barebone (or is it Aurelius Dumbledore?), along side Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander), William Nadylam (Yusuf Kama), Poppy Corby-Tuech (Vinda Rosier), Jessica Williams (Professor Hicks) and Victoria Yeates (Bunty).

In addition to Yates, another Harry Potter original series alumnus is joining the superb Beasts franchise. Steve Kloves, who penned seven of the eight Harry Potter screenplays, has written the third movie with JK Rowling.

Fantastic Beasts 3, 4 and 5 release dates: When is Fantastic Beasts 3 released?

The fourth and fifth movies have never had release dates, but we originally assumed we could expect them in November 2022

Originally, it had been thought the threequel would repeat the two-year release gap of the primary two movies and are available out on November 20, 2020. This date was never set in stone, though and when production was pushed back by Warner Bros, we knew that 2020 wasn’t getting to happen for the threequel.

It was then set for November 12, 2021 with Warner Bros Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich explaining the initial release delay in April 2019 by saying: “We all believe this release date will give the filmmakers time and space to permit their artistry to really flourish and deliver the simplest possible film to our fans.”

However, just when filming was thanks to begin in March 2020, the pandemic saw the beginning of production delayed until September. then came the exit of Depp, resulting in the movie being pushed back to July 2022.

Filming is now underway though, so we will hope that the present release date will stick and there’ll be no further delays.

There’s no guarantee that the third movie are going to be successful , so it could rather be that it marks the top of the superb Beasts series. So we might be waiting a short time to ascertain if we’ll get a fourth and fifth movie.

Assuming they are doing happen though, don’t expect a fourth movie anytime before 2024.

Fantastic Beasts 3 plot: What is Fantastic Beasts 3 about?

Officially, all we all know about the third movie is that there’ll be a “globe-trotting adventure”, but that certainly fits with what JK Rowling had been teasing.

Back in December 2018, she potentially let slip that it will be set in Rio de Janeiro within the 1930s after she corrected a spelling mistake on Twitter. It’s either a touch to Brazil-based scenes in Fantastic Beasts 3 or an ingenious misdirection.

This content is imported from Twitter. you’ll be ready to find an equivalent content in another format, otherwise you could also be ready to find more information, at their internet site .

Even if the most adventure takes place in Brazil, that does not rule out the third movie spending longer at Hogwarts. It’s rumoured that there’ll be more of attention on Dumbledore, which we’d definitely welcome.

We haven’t had many teasers from the cast as of yet, but Fogler did reveal in March 2020 that he’d read the script. “The character development is basically lovely and it’s extremely almost like the texture of the primary movie, which i feel is great,” he said.

“It’s leading toward this massive war with the backdrop of war II, so you’ll just imagine epic battle scenes are coming.”

Given the potential doubt over the future of the series, it’ll be interesting to see whether the third movie is as open-ended

Fantastic Beasts 3, 4 and 5 plot: How will Fantastic Beasts end?

If we assume that we’re getting to get three more movies of the series, here’s what was originally planned for the spin-off.

Rowling has said that the films will cover 19 years of Wizarding World history. which will take the last one up to 1945, the year that Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald and claimed the Elder Wand from him.

That was also the year that a particular Tom Riddle (the future Voldemort) graduated from Hogwarts.

All that considered, it seems unlikely that the fifth movie won’t feature the climactic battle between Dumbledore and his former friend. Credence could also end up to play a crucial role in their struggle, especially if the idea that Dumbledore’s sister Ariana was another Obscurial seems to be true.
