The Luminaries is yet another new installment of BBC which has been able to steal the hearts of the audience completely. The show has been a huge hit and fans are already speculating about season 2 of the show. The show is based on the Man Booker Prize-winning novel which has Eleanor Catton. The mini series show became an instant hit shortly after the release of the season 1. So without any delay let’s spill the tea for you.

Is there going to be a season 2 of Luminaries?

The atrocious magnificent mysterious drama series Luminaries was launched on BBC and has been set up in the New Zealand gold rush during the time of the 1860s. The mini series show comprises of 6 episodes in total. The show has been aired on BBC One and is also available completely on BBC iPlayer.  The spectacular mini series has been a massive hit and owing to the popularity of the show, the question of season 2 now arises.

However, as of now, there hasn’t been any announcement about the renewal status of the show. The chances of having a season 2 of the show is also bleak. However, we need to wait a little longer before confirming anything.

What can happen in Luminaries Season 2?

There hasn’t been any update upon the renewal status of Luminaries season 2. The chances for having a season 2 is also bleak. The main underlying reason behind it is the show is the complete adaptation of the novel written by Catton. However, there is no sequence to the novel and therefore the chances of having a season 2 is also very less.

At the end of season 1, we saw Anna is now facing the death penalty. During her trials, she uses the letter of Crosbie Wells to prove that the two have never met each other. We see that Anna is now out of suspicion after the false testimony given by Emery who on the other hand gets sentenced to nine months of prison.
