In Avengers: Endgame, Loki caught the Tesseract and vanished. The most recent Loki trailer shows how his actions impacted the multiverse.
The new Loki trailer reveals that the Trickster God is to blame for the multiverse crisis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though MCU films such as Black Widow and Eternals have been delayed, Marvel’s Disney+ series have blazed a new direction for the shared universe. Loki got a new lease on life after Avengers: Endgame, stealing the Tesseract during the Avengers’ time heist and disappearing act which will put him within the crosshairs of the Time Variance Authority. With the introduction of the multiverse, Loki essentially confirms the Trickster God’s actions are behind it all.
As the premiere of Loki approaches on June 11, new footage is being released to whet fans’ appetites for what’s to come. Although it’s already been established that Loki will be apprehended by the TVA, the organisation in charge of preserving and protecting the flow of time, the latest trailer shows that the villain’s actions in Avengers: Endgame actually defied truth. Given all that happened in Endgame, this is a remarkable achievement. The Avengers’ version of Loki, who had been imprisoned for attempting to take control of the universe, succeeds in recovering the Tesseract, disappearing from the primary timeline where he lived and forever altering the course of time. His acts in Endgame effectively set up the plot for his standalone Disney+ show, in which TVA agent Mobius seeks the Trickster God’s assistance in resolving a problem.
